Dr. Suskind will be a featured guest at the Michigan HOPE Symposium.
The Michigan HOPE Symposium is an inaugural Michigan Medicine academic collaborative movement to address the most pressing social and advocacy needs of patients and neighboring communities.
The practice of medicine provides an opportunity for positive interventions that advance the overall wellbeing of communities. The Michigan HOPE Symposium hopes to broaden the impact of academic medicine by collaborating with community partners to address the most pressing social and advocacy issues of patients. We have invited leaders in the field of academic medicine and social advocacy to share their experience and insight, as well as engage in group talk, Q&A, targeted working sessions, and networking. This symposium will build upon the success of the Doctors of Tomorrow program as a model prototype with incredible opportunities to broaden impact for youth in Detroit Public Schools. We aim to build a contemporary framework that will allow us to learn more, expand our reach, and more broadly address issues of the neighborhoods in which we live and serve.
