In this fascinating book, Dr. Perri Klass draws on history, medicine, and stories of individual determination, to document the fight against child mortality and reveal the ways it has transformed parenting, doctoring and modern living.

On November 17, Dr. Klass joined Dr. Dana Suskind, co-director of the TMW Center for Early Learning + Public Health, for an in-depth discussion of the astonishing human achievement at the heart of this book.
