Innovate
Research and development of cutting-edge interventions, tools, and technology that help strengthen parent and caregiver engagement around language development is the cornerstone of our work.
As the result of years of work in this space, the TMW Center has developed an evidence-based teaching tool called the 3Ts and a suite of eight evidence-based interventions, designed for specific settings and phases of life, that support parents and caregivers with knowledge and skills to develop their children’s intellectual and educational potential. We have introduced to the field a first-of-its-kind measurement tool (the SPEAK® survey) to measure parent and caregiver knowledge of early cognitive and language development. And we continuously use data to hone, test, and refine our work to ensure its efficacy.
And yet, it is clear that even the most effective tools and interventions do not scale themselves, which is why we are also committed to developing and promoting broader understanding of the science of scaling—an innovation that will enhance the evidence-based policymaking process in early childhood and beyond.
