Alex Pedenko

Alex joined the TMW Center in 2025. As Chief Technology Officer, Alex oversees the technology strategy and execution of the center.

Prior to joining the center, Alex was CTO at CityBase, a payments technology company helping underserved communities gain access to government resources. Alex helped CityBase grow from a small team in 2016 to an IPO in 3 years. Prior to CityBase, Alex founded and scaled a motion analytics startup that developed custom hardware for capturing athletic motion and analyzing it on a mobile device.

Alex holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a BA in Mathematics from Michigan State University

He lives in Chicago, and his favorite book from early childhood is Good Night Moon.
