Melissa Segovia

Project Manager, Research Analysis Team

Melissa joined the TMW Center in July of 2020. As the Project Manager for the Research Analysis Team, she is responsible for organizing and prioritizing research analysis requests and ensuring projects align and meet internal goals and timelines.

Melissa worked in community health projects that supported families and children in both in research and non-profit settings for over a decade, prior to joining TMW. Her graduate studies in Child Development taught her about the importance of the first three years of life, but it was her work with families in various communities across Chicago that opened her eyes to the instrumental role that caregivers play as their children’s first teachers.

She currently lives in Chicago. Her favorite books when she was a child were: “The Little Prince”, the Asterix comic books and any book by Roald Dahl, especially his autobiography, “Boy: Tales of Childhood”.
