Oscar Noriega

Oscar joined the TMW Center in 2021 as an Applied Data Fellow.

Currently, as a Data Scientist for the NorthStar team, he focuses on analyzing complex data sets for the purpose of extracting applicable information as well as developing, testing, and validating machine learning algorithms.

Prior to the TMW Center, he worked as a Data Analyst for Mexico’s National Electoral Institute and has been a researcher for several NGOs and Think Tanks in Mexico. He holds both a B.S. and a Master’s in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and a M.S. in Computational Analysis and Public Policy from the University of Chicago.

He lives in Chicago and his favorite book from early childhood is The Number Devil: A Mathematical Adventure.
