TMW Center Newsletter December 2024
Happy Holidays from the TMW Center
The holiday season serves as a valuable time for rest and reflection. At the TMW Center, as we look back over the past 12 months, we feel, more than anything, immense gratitude to the parents and caregivers who allowed us to play a small part in their year—and in their brain-building journey.
We are pleased to share that in 2024, the TMW Center worked with partners to implement our 3Ts-Newborn, Well Baby, Let’s Talk, Let’s Talk Dads, and Early Childhood Educator interventions in communities across the country. We shared free 3Ts resources with hundreds of family-serving organizations and thousands of parents and caregivers. We made meaningful strides in the development of our technology-based, scalable measurement tools, including the launch of an ambitious three-year research project designed to optimize our tools for early-childhood classroom use. And we continued to conduct and publish rigorous research and analysis.
These successes stand as a testament to the dedication and hard work of each member of our incredible team. But they also would not have been possible without our cherished collaborators across the country and around the world. We are grateful for each and every one of our partners and supporters, and for every individual working to ensure more children have the strongest possible start in life.
Like all years, 2024 was not without challenges. Surely 2025 holds them in store, as well. Nevertheless, we anticipate the coming year with hope and optimism. We look forward to sharing our successes, and celebrating yours as well.
TMW Center in the News
A recent profile of the TMW Center in Early Learning Nation offers an apt summary of our work: “Prevention, rather than remediation, is the battle cry for Suskind and her team at the TMW Center, who view parents as an untapped resource in this equation.”
It is true: We view parents and caregivers as a vital, largely untapped resource. And we view them, above all else, as the world’s best brain architects. It is our privilege to support all parents and caregivers in the very important work of building healthy young brains.
Thank you to K.C. Compton and Early Learning Nation for telling the story of our work, our mission, and our research!
